Call for Submissions – New Voices
Are you a Master’s student, early-stage PhD researcher, or recent graduate with research that could shape arts management and cultural policy? New Voices, a dedicated section of the Irish Journal of Arts Management & Cultural Policy (IJAMCP), invites submissions of short, high-impact articles drawn from original research.
This section provides a platform for emerging scholars to publish early work, share findings, and engage with an academic and professional readership. Whether your research explores policy implications, cultural sector challenges, arts management innovations, or creative industries trends, we want to hear from you. We are interested in any of the above topic explored by new scholars on the island of Ireland.
Why Submit?- Get published early in a respected open-access journal.
- Showcase your research to an audience of academics, policymakers, and practitioners.
- Build your academic profile and develop your publishing skills with editorial guidance.
- Master’s and MLitt students (or recent graduates) in arts management, cultural policy, or related fields.
- Early-stage PhD researchers looking to publish their initial findings.
- Short, accessible articles (up to 3,000 words) summarising key insights from your research.
- Contributions that explain the significance of findings for policy, practice, or theory.
- Articles that engage a broad readership beyond disciplinary silos.
Submissions should use a structured approach, including:
- Introduction (max. 500 words) – What is the research about? Why does it matter?
- Main Section (1,500–2,000 words) – What methods did you use? What are the key findings?
- Conclusion (500–1,000 words) – What are the implications? What should policymakers, practitioners, or researchers take from this?
Submissions are accepted on a rolling basis via our platform (link). We encourage early discussions—email Pat Collins at p.collins@universityofgalway.ie to explore your submission idea.
